Bimbo - Rin Ahmad

Bimbo by Rin Ahmad

Tajuknya sangatlah ...... apa nak cakap ya? ..... pelik?  Bimbo?  Bukan ke itu gelaran untuk perempuan gedik?  Kisah perempuan gedik ke?  Bila baca, tak lah gedik tapi salah faham punya pasal, maka keluarlah perkataan bimbo.  Banyak juga belajar vocab baru kat sini.  Nak tau, kena baca,

This novel has got me excited because.......

  1. It's been quite a while since I updated my blog (plus that "bad gateway" issue),
  2. There were times when I wanted to write but didn't have enough motivation to write or my brain just wouldn't cooperate or just simply lazy.....
  3. The male character was diagnosed of having Bell's Palsy. I didn't realise it at first, but as I keep on reading, it reminded me of one of my friend.  She had Bell's Palsy long time ago and has recovered.  Alhamdulillah.  I kind of forgot what Bell's Palsy is until I read this novel because my friend was diagnosed this during school holiday, and by the time the holiday ends, she's already almost fully recovered, so I didn't notice any changes in her facial expression until she told me.
  4. Whoever says that reading novel is a complete waste of time, well they are wrong.  Okay, depends on who the author is. For me, I gain a lot of knowledge by reading novels.  Because sometimes there are certain field that really doesn't interest you and in my case, for example, if you want to see me read a book on economics or politics or things that are not related to science, well..... chances are, you are going to be disappointed.  This is how I got my "education". Hahaha...

If you want to get a glimpse on what Bell's Palsy is, and a bit on the job scope of an electrical engineer, I would recommend this novel.

I can only imagine the difficulty of having Bell's Palsy, when your face muscles become paralyse especially when it also involves your tongue.  Recovery is different from one person to another.  Just imagine, you cannot talk properly, eat or drink properly because your tongue is paralysed!  Makes me feel so grateful for the everything that I have now.

Besides that, Elsuraya and Dani's experience in Saudi, makes me wish that I could go there as soon as possible!  Okay, enough ramblings.  Let's take a look on this novel:

Tajuk:        Bimbo
Penulis:     Rin Ahmad
Penerbit:   Kaki Novel
Harga:      RM 23 (Semenanjung) / RM 26 (Sabah/Sarawak)

Sinopsis:

"Astalavista loozer!  With double o and double z."

Dah gugel douchebag.  Kejamnya.  Do I deserve that? - Dani Ikram.

Do I deserve bimbo? - Elsuraya.

"Kalau hattttttti saya sakit sebelum waktunya, apa gunanya hubungan kita? So that kita nanti rasa sakit sama-sama? - Elsuraya.

"El, kalau awak pilih orang yang awak tak cinta, seriously you are a bimbo.  I can never be wrong calling you that the very first time w met." - Dani Ikram.

Rasulullah pun memang galakkan kita sentiasa  belajar kan.  Kajian pun dah buktikan orang yang tahu banyak bahasa ni banyak kelebihannya.
